Glace Bay Panthers defeat Riverview Redmen

SYDNEY, N.S. — Dylan McDonald enjoyed a five-point game to lead the Glace Bay Panthers to a 7-2 win over the Riverview Redmen in Cape Breton High School Hockey League action on Sunday at the Canada Games Complex.

McDonald, who scored all of his points in the third period, also had a hat trick, while Alec Campbell contributed a goal and three assists and Colin Rosta added three helpers as the Panthers exacted a bit of revenge after the Redmen captured the Glace Bay-hosted Panther Classic in early December.

The Glace Bay scoring was rounded out with goals by Tyler Mortimer and Liam Burke.

Blake Cox and Andrew McCarron had the Riverview goals.

Panthers goalie Nick Bigley stopped 15 of the 17 shots he faced, while the Redmen tandem of Ryan Tanner and Riley Davis allowed seven goals on 25 shots.
